The strips are an effective counter-balance to Discovery Channel's "Shark Week" which is nothing more than sensationalism demonizing sharks. Viewers get a misconception watching that garbage that sharks are nothing but vermon of the sea killing and injuring humans. Thanks to MUTTS for helping to get the REAL story out there. Clearly we are the ones invading their habitat and then brutalizing them into extinction.

Patrick - thank you for bringing attention to the plight of sharks - this issue does not get nearly enough media attention. I've been campaigning for over 2 years against "shark finning" - the abominable practice of hacking the fins off sharks and throwing their still living bodies back into the sea.

I love everything about the Mutts comics, from the plight of dogs, the plight of the environment and the plight of endangered species. Patrick is so talented and uses his comic strips to entertain while also informing the public about so many important issues. Thank you for your kind heart!
