Huffington Post blogger and children’s lit expert Pam Allyn has put Patrick McDonnell’s The Gift of Nothing at the beginning of her list of “top recommendations for bedtime reading for all ages for the year 2010.” Allyn puts Patrick in her pantheon of “great authors who, honoring the mysterious yet profound world of childhood, steer us toward peace and community, and the promise of hope in the morning.”

I just want you to know that your book was a big hit in my reading circle. I have two grand nephews who enjoy their story/ reading time. I must admit that I enjoy your books also. I have my own collection. When I read them I have my Siamese cat named Si (half of the Si & Am brothers) in my lap. What can I say, he is my Mooch!
